Changde Sixian is a national intangible cultural heritage, which originated in the late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty and is widely popular in Yuanjiang River and Lishui River in Hunan Province. It has elegant lyrics, beautiful tunes, diversified cavity systems and rich repertoire. It is called Sixian because it is accompanied by Sixian instruments such as dulcimer, pipa, three strings and huqin.
